I would be surprised if half of the claims on this board were true - well true to the extent that all of the languages listed were languages that the writer was fluent in.

So if it means general fluency: I speak two. English and Japanese

If the question was 'what can you understand a bit of at an academic level'; then I can do five: English Japanese Spanish Chinese German.

But that ^^ is not to fluency

BTW: I like the post above me - computer languages FTW!! If we can count those I can do C#, HTML, Javascript, SQL, CSS and Basic!! lol I'm a nerd...

English is my main language, and I'm pretty fluent in Italian. I can get along pretty well with reading other romance languages, like if I run across a Portuguese site, I can navigate pretty well. I started studying Mandarin Chinese in August, so I'm working on that. My anime nerdiness through high school gave me a fairly good understanding of Japanese, though I have a lot (a lot) to learn. I know a few phrases in other languages like Icelandic, German and Arabic, and I know how to read Greek and Russian out loud, though I don't know what I'm saying. Also, if you count these as languages (which I totally do), I speak 1337, lolcat, HTML and CSS.

Your list is pretty sweet, too. Antillean Creole? Man, talk about a rare language!

Dutch, English, French, German, and particularly just a little of Spanish. Dutch is my most important language French and German I found out in secondary tuition and English got here while I moved to America for university. I'm operating on Spanish however you can not be fluent in the whole thing I bet
