For those of voting age who voted.?

On Wednesday morning when we wake up we will be not Democrats, or Republicans or Independents or Green - we will be American.

Are you ready to put aside whatever preconceived notions you have and work together as Americans - or will you be rehashing the shoulda woulda coulda?

A few minutes (at least) of woulda shoulda coulda, then it's back to the job of being an American.

No. Sorry, but the left has no right to ask for unity. After witnessing the level hateful, vile, anti-American propaganda that's been spewed from the left for the last eight years I cannot respect a single person who claims to be a liberal.

The left has openly called for the murder of Sarah Palin, embraced sexism as a political tool, accused our soldiers of killing millions of Iraqi civilians, accused President Bush of being a war criminal, belittled McCain's war injuries, defended the corruption in the mortgage industry, bashed the Constitution at every opportunity, claimed Americans murdered Americans on 9/11, calls any non-liberal Christian a hatemonger and right-wing zealot, etc etc etc etc etc. The list goes on and on.

Now not all liberals have done these things. But many have. And I haven't seen a single liberal stand up and say any of the above is wrong, not once.

Liberals have spent the last eight years dividing this country and demonizing anyone they disagree with. You've shown who you really are. There's a price for that. I will not unite or support anyone who seeks to destroy capitalism or rewrite our Constitution.

What are you talking about? The president isn't going to make all these changes in one day...no matter who wins we're all going to be the same people and its still going to be up to us to help ourselves and get to where we want to be and not rely on any president to do so.

We'll be lucky to see lots of change whoever wins in a short 4 years. It takes a lot longer to undo a mess than to get into it so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for some big epiphany that the president brings because its not going to happen, sorry.

    I agree!

There are things I like about both (or all) of the candidates, and there also things I dislike about them. I don't have any preconceived notions...if my main man doesn't win, that's fine. There are still things that I do like about the other candidates that I can focus on if they win.

If Obama wins and has a House and Senate majority, my opinion will not be worth spit until the next election.

There is no working together when one side holds all of the power.

No, I will never put politics aside. The liberals have been saying awful thing about President George W. Bush, and If Obama wins I'll be doing the same to him. I am an American and as an American we must all work together to stop Obama.

Don't forget Libertarians and Constitutionalists. Even though they are kind of Independents.

The fact remains some policies work and others work partially and yet others work. All the support in the world won't change these facts.
