I have a thick gold herringbone necklace that I don't want- how can I find the value of it and whats the best way to go about selling it?

is it a 10k 14k 18k 24k?
pure or just gold plated?
yellow or white gold?
thickness of the necklace?
sell to store, or ebay, craigslist

Take the necklace to a reputable jeweler and tell them you need an evaluation for insurance purposes to get it's true value.
