Mailing a package from US to Canada?
I've never really mailed a package...anywhere, really. This will be my first time. I'm asking in advance, just to be prepared.
For Christmas, I am mailing a package from Massachusetts to BC, Canada. I just want to know how exactly to go about it, through either the local post office (if it's possible), or UPS or anything like that. That's my first question.
Also, I'd like to know how much it would cost, how many stamps I would need, how long it would take...
just basic information. I'm really not at all experienced when it comes to this. I'm hoping someone can help me out.
Thanks in advance!

Just put it in a box, and pack it well, tape it closed, put an address label and a return address label on it, then take it to the post office. You will give the box to the attendant and they will weight it and you will fill out a little form declaring what the item/items is/are then you are told how much it costs.

Well, the first thing you have to know is that it doesn't matter where the package is going to, it's where it is sent from that is important. You have to use US stamps and send it via US Postal Service (or UPS or FedEx) and the point of origin (Massachusetts) will tell you how much it is going to cost.
So wrap it up, phone FedEx and UPS and get a quote on how much it will cost to send to BC, then take it to the Post Office because it will be cheaper there.
