Sure. But only if you don't want your lungs.

It is very important after having wisdom teeth pulled to not do anything to lose the blood clot. When the clot is lost, it becomes a dry socket. It will take longer to heal and if you know anyone who has had one you know it is extremely painful. I that case you need to go back to your dentist and have him pack the area with medicine soaked gauze. This will have to be done several days in a row and that can also be painful. That being said, smoking or sucking on a straw can easily dislodge the clot so I would absolutely not want to chance that. Call your Dr. and see what his recommendation is for when it is safe to start back as every Dr. has his own opinion. Good Luck

No smoking for at least 24 hours and don't use straws for 2-3 days. The sucking motion can loosen the clot and delay healing. In addition, smoking decreases the blood supply and can bring germs and contaminants to the surgery area.

No good, nicotine constricts the blood flow and lowers the blood oxygen level so you heal real slow. The slower you heal the more chance for an infection. Wait about 3 weeks at least.

Probably not, but I did. Had a plate put in my jaw, stitches inside and all, pulled two wisdom teeth, smoked like nothing happened, no problems two years later now

1 the stuff in cigarates reduces blood flow therefore reducing the supply of haemogloblin around your body, like your gums, therefore making you heal slower.
2 sucking on the cigarrate reduces pressure in the mouth, and can make the blood clot pop, then youll have a bloody and smelly, and possibly infected mouth.
so i recommend that you dont smoke for at least two months, to ensure that you have fully healed, and who knows, you might entirely ditch the smokies after 2 months and add more time to your life...not that it is any of my business...=)

I'm sure you were told not to smoke or suck on a straw. It'll cause the blood clots to come out and cause bleeding. Can't you do without that cigarette for a while?

u can smoke now, they just say to wait 24 hours so u don't get dry sockets, that are supost to hurt really bad. I smoked the same day, i just didn't suck hard and i wore a galls to cover the hole.

This is actually the best time to smoke, as it will get absorbed right in to your blood stream, giving you an amazing high without worrying about the negative effects.
