how would i go about asking my dad to get me texting??unlimited??i have the lg shine and at&t my birthday is in 3 days...well lyk 2 but still shud i ask him a day before my birthday or ON my birthday?? how wud i go about asking him./....lyk shud i just pop in and say daddy can i get texting      


but if he says y is txting better than callin what do i say....
other than its quieter or easier or nobody can hear yu and also dat evryones doing it cuz i need otehr reasons to convince my dadyy....

Here's you a good reason: Tell your dad that you may find your self in a bad situation and you may not be able to talk on the phone because you don't want someone hearing what you're saying, you may only be able to text...That should work...He'll think it's a safety issue.

just tell him that it's the "in" thing to do right now and everyone else is doing it. And if you call, then they will just not accept your calls and try to text you instead.
