What can I soak dried cooked craw fish claws in to soften them?

Rub the dried shells with saddle soap. There isn't much that is going to keep them soft. Saddle soap will help. You can also rub them with olive oil and let them sit. Wipe off. Leaching calcium in water would not work since the calcium would never leave the shells

Try leaving the clean shells in water for a while. This should leech the calcium out and leave them soft and pliable. Bit like what happens to your finger nails in the bath. it may take several days/weeks as these shells will contain far more calcium than your nails. try boiling them for a while and see if this speeds up the proccess
