Wavelength and Light?

What is the wavelength, in nanometers, of light with an energy content of 1.4 x 10^7 kJ/mol?

    A mole of photons is Avogadro's number (6.02214E23) of them.

    Energy/photon = 1.4E10/6.02214E23 = 2.32475E-14 J.

    lambda = hc/E = 8.54477E-12 m = 0.00854477 nm.

    Maybe you meant 1.4E7 J/mol, not kJ/mol? Then multiply lambda by 1000.

    c = λv

    E = hc/λ

    ==> λ = hc/E

    Plug your numbers in and you got it.

    h --- Plank's constant.

    c ---- speed of light.
