Luckily, turtles often shed. The polish will come off then. If the polish covers the area between the scutes (plates) on the shell, you might have to offer a bit of assistance. A veterinarian can probably use a scalpel delicately enough to do this safely. This is not a project for an amateur. Even if the polish does not shed off with the scutes, it will eventually wear off, just as it does from nails.

  • leave the turtle as it is... n let him get wet in water... after a few days it well come off as they shed skin...( even from the hard cover)slowly it will go away...i dnt think using nailpolish remover wud b very wise as t might b very irraitating for the poor fellow... i have had water turtles as a pet ... n iv seen their skin slowly shedding.... what type of a turtle is it?

DO NOT USE ANYTHING..ESPECIALLY CHEMICALS NO CHEMICALS ON A TURTLES SHELL.

    That can kill.

leave her in her tank and it will come off eventually. Maybe months!

use a soft tooth brush and water IF you must..

    NO CHEMICALS!
