hi, i used to do this for a local restaurant...Dharma trading company has EVERYTHING you need.....you REALLY should order their procion dyes for vivid color that lasts....and make sure to pre-soak in soda ash to prepare the fibers....check out the page i have linked.....ALSO what i used to do as well, if you have a non-white shirt...you can dilute some bleach and use that for a reverse look...either way it is cool....this site linked has instructions techniques and everything else you may need...good luck

ok first, use gloves. and do not stain your clothing, because it is going to stain. so that you're taking a undeniable white shirts, and theres some concepts you may attempt this. One is termed the spiral, the position you pinch the blouse from contained in the middle (like contained in the tummy section, yet grab both the front adn the lower back of it) then from that aspect, twist some thing of the blouse down. So then you actually take rubber bands, (it will look cooler if a number of them are thick, adn some are skinny) and also you easily randomly tie them in random sections of the roll you made. yet use an excellent form of rubber bands. a lot. purely ensure theres stlil truly blouse lefft haha. then you actually have a bucket of water mixed with dye (bypass to a keep and ask for shrt lack of life dye) and also you stick the blouse roll into it and soak it. For a even as in spite of the reality that, the longer you soak it, the more beneficial the color will be. in case you pick to do more beneficial then one color, then soak element of it in a unmarried color, and yet another section in yet another color. purely be careful because even as mixed, some colorations make an gruesome brown. then you actually placed the soaked roll of blouse right into a plastic bag and go away it for an afternoon or 2. then you actually wash it in water like on your bathtub or some thing to ensure all the more beneficial dye is out and once you're certain this is,, placed it contained in the washer. ***yet in a unique thanks to tye the blouse is termed the snake. this is once you're taking the blouse adn you roll it down from the actual to the bottom, and purely tie random rubber banrds round it. :]

I've used the store kits, and they work well. Use marbles to make the funky shapes and spheres in the shirt. you could also try putting different cut outs in the shirt, like a heart or a star, and tie it up before dipping it in the dye...it looks pretty rad. Oh, and ash salt was included in my kit...

I did standard dye but this rule would likely still apply.
Tie/twist the shirts tightly, this will give the most gradient and sharp results.
Have fun, now I wanna do some tye dyes thinking about it.
