Who does Obama think he is asking for anything? He is not anything yet ?

Bush screwed things up so bad, that something needs to be done since it's obvious that Bush is going to be worthless for the next couple of months.

Various agencies and departments are briefing Obama on a number of issues. The same as the Clinton Administration did for President-elect Bush. It is standard procedure.

I think he is very smart he did not sit on his behind and chill because he won that tells me what kind of job he is going to do in the White House when he gets there.

He thinks he is the President elect and he thinks he is going to be inheriting one of the worst economic messes in history on top of environmental, military, foreign policy, and infrastructure disasters that rival any in history. Not to mention taking over the leadership of a country probably as divided as any since the civil war. My guess is he thinks he should get up to speed as quickly as possible and try to do some good.

Heck he is already "asking" for a second term and that was the night of his acceptance speech! He is "asking" for more government control in order to get his so called plans under way to save us all. He is "asking" us to accept upwards to a Trillion dollar deficit a year for several years. He is "asking" us to accept a 10% unemployment all in order to "ask" us to allow his Socialism driven ideas to take care of us.

He also "asked" for the position in Illinois by preventing voters who were largely Democratic the chance to vote for his Democratic opponents.

He just loves to ask. Now when he gets into Office next year he will begin to Demand and if this is how he was when he was asking, God help us when he starts demanding.

He's the president elect. It is standard for someone in his situation to start getting briefings and such so that he can be more or less up to speed when he takes office.
