sex with boss/manager at work?
okai, so i had sex with my boss at work... and we've done other things before too... but i dont see why many people think of this as being completely wrong and jeopardizing ur job..
if both you and your boss are okai with it, how would you be risking your job? you boss WANTS this, and you're doing it..
so, i guess my question is: how does this REALLY risk your job [if it even does], and why do people think it is soo horrible??
thanks for all the answers.. :)
also,, just to let you know.. my boss is recently engaged. does this make it any worse??
if the boss is ok with it, there is no way you would be risking losing ur job, right?

Let me explain from a Human resource standpoint, why this is bad news.
First of all, if his engagement is important to him (considering that he's engaged, I don't give his marriage that much hope for success).
Let's say that she finds out and tells him that either you go or she goes. And he chooses her and fires you....
Technically he's opened himself up to a sexual harrassment case, and if you ever go to bed with another supervisor at your job, and Human Resources finds out....kiss your job goodbye.
How are you going to feel if he gives a promotion or raise or pet project to someone else? If you were to get that treatment, there would be cries of favoritism.
Can you honestly say that you have the same respect for him as your supervisor and are willing to follow your boss' dictates, or do you feel as if this means he has no right to treat you the same way as before.
What the two of you did was dishonest, unethical and technically illegal.
If you wish to have any credibility, you should seek another position. You have everything to lose by going to bed with a supervisor and nothing to gain.

Why do you have to have sex with your boss? Don't you think that you are qualified and good enough to do your job that you need to sleep with him to make sure you don't lose your job? He is engaged to be married, what do you think the fiancee would say if she finds out? What if the time comes that he does not want you anymore? That's the time you might lose that job or it would be awkward for both of you especially if he finds someone else. And if you still can't think why it is horrible, then you really have a problem.

Ok so everyone is confused and cannot believe this could ever happen. Well people it does happen everyday. I have to wonder how many of you live under rocks. Anybody ever been in the real world?
To answer your question, life has many ups and downs. Your having fun living on the edge. It can turn out bad or it could turn out good. But either way it will probably end and lessons will have been learned. Someday you will be able to answer the question without judgement. Hopefully your using him more than hes using you. Good Luck

Sorry for you to hear/read this again but THAT IS HORRIBLE!
1.) You may be having sex with your box because you both think it's okay but in the long run it will bite you in the butt. He can fire you any time he wants and all you'll have to say for yourself is "I can't believe he just fired me! After all this time I've been having sex with him and he fires me!?" <<~~~ stuff like that.
2.) It does not look good for your rep. Idk where you work but is it permitted for coworkers to date?
3.) then you got the whole favs thing going on and you should probably be suspicious of any other coworker who may be sleeping with him too. One will be more favored than the other.
4.) THE DUDE IS ENGAGED! WTH! You wanna be a home recker?!! There is something called karma. This will back fire on you no doubt.

wow
well first off the only thing you are to your boss is:
a booty call
a ****
a go to girl when he wants it.
second, if he is cheating on his fiance, he obviously has no respect for her, so why would he for you? like i said you are just a booty call.
third, it DOES risk your job, you sound like an idiot with your logic that if both of you want it its fine. NO it is not. Your Boss' boss probably doesn't think its fine. plus there are rules that say you cannot be involved with your co workers. So all that has to happen is one of your co workers catches you both having sex and he/she could turn you both in. GAME OVER.
Karma is gonna come back and b**** slap you in the face and it is going to hurt like hell

Most companies have a "no fraternization" policy, meaning that employees cannot have "relations" aside from work. It has to do mostly with Sexual Harassment laws and can indeed lead to termination if word got out.

Wow.
Um... idk what to say.
Are you guys still at it even tho he is engaged?
Does he care about his fiance?
Hm. Idk much about jobs, but I guess it could be risky.
Once he is married, he might not want you around anymore because you are a temptation. But maybe not. Depends on what kind of guy he is.
Idk.
