how to get garlic smell out of a car?
I bought italian food takeout last night and 24 hours later my car still has a STRONG garlic smell. I have aired it out and used air fresheners -- it's not going away.
Is there a trick with aluminum foil or steel wool or something??
I have leather upholstery not cloth so this is confusing

Someone else also mentioned a product called innofresh auto odor absorber. I agree. It's an activated carbon odor absorber that is totally fragrance free and really works for me to get rid of spill (something?) and other assorted musty smells.
The store clerk at Murrays auto recommended it. I see also now can buy on line at www.innofresh.com
I recommend it.
Also, in the kitchen, yes, if you're hands smell like onions and garlic, soap up your hands and wash touching stainless steel sink if you have stainless steel.

You're kind of right, aluminum can get rid of garlic if your hands smell like garlic. You simply rub your hands on the metal.
But because it's your car, its best to squeeze lemons in a bowl and wipe your car down. Lemons are nature's disinfectant. Plus it's not going to ruin your car!

Spray the interior with Fabreeze. Fabreeze even removes the cigarette smoke smell from cloth upholstery.

You need good odor absorbers. Use "Innofresh" its an odor eliminator, it works really well. Also use some air freshner if possible. They will take care of your car's odor problem.
