Was Nancy Pelosi Reelected?

I hope not. She opposed impeachment hearings. She was a large part of the reason that Bush is going to get off scott free with all of his crimes.

Hopefully, with Obama as president, the Democrats that allowed themselves to be bullied by Republicans will remember what they are supposed to stand for and not cave in. Those that do cave in should be kicked out in favor of a real Democrat or a third party candidate.

Yep, for sure! Spending money and raising taxes! More liberal programs of marginal effectiveness requiring massive tax increases, decreased national security. Probably even adjust or do away with Homeland Defense too! Yep, Democraps will be back to normal!

While I have no love for Bush, impeaching him would have wasted too much of the new Democratic Congress's time, when there were many more important things to fix first. There was also the lurking threat of Dick Cheney as President... so they would've had to simultaneously impeach him as well.

Impeachment proceedings take time, divide the country, and swing the average US voter toward cynicism and apathy. Clinton should never have been impeached, and while Bush may have done some unethical things, I would not support impeachment in his case either.

Pelosi, by the way, will probably never lose an election as a Representative. If she decides to try for Senator or Governor, possibly. But why would anyone give up being 3rd in line for the Presidency?(I guess 2nd, if you don't count the President.)
