Go to Start > Run, type "firewall.cpl", and hit Enter. Go to the Exceptions tab, click Add Port, and enter the following information:

Name: HTTP port 80 (actually any name will work)

    Port Number: 80

    Type: TCP

    Click OK, and then Apply.

Note that if you are using a router, you will need to also enable port forwarding for port 80 if you want port 80 to be accessible from the Internet. Consult your router's manual for details on how to do this.

Also, consider that some ISPs automatically block port 80, preventing you from hosting a website using their service.

  • Port 80 will be on your router. See your router instructions for more info.
