I need help about Snowboarding?

OK this is the deal. I have never been snowboarding in my life and I really want to go this year. I live in Michigan and am planing on going with some friends. I need to know what to expect. I am up for anything so don't be scared about telling the truth. From what I know I will be renting a snowboard at the resort. So just let me know what to expect. I am 16 year old Girl by the way. Thanks

I'm a sixteen year old girl too, I started snowboarding when I was 12. Expect to fall a lot. But don't get discouraged when you do. It's all about learning your first time, and it probably won't become fun for you until like, your third day, so don't give up. If you don't take lessons, you will be falling a lot, and you might not even make it down the trail one time without falling. Getting up and maneuvering your board while you're on the ground will be hard as well, and you'll feels yourdelf using muscles you never even knew you had. The next day, you'll probably be very very sore. Your butt will hurt and your legs will feel like spaghetti and your abs will be killing you, but seriously, just do it again, because once the first few days are over everything's all good.

you will be on your butt most the day..but dont give up..once you realize what you ahve to do its really easy to catch onto..Go with someone who has a lot of patience and is GOOD at snowboarding..nothing is worse than learning how to snowboard from someone else who sucks...if you are taking lessons..make sure they are SMALL classes and that you can get the help and attention you need.
