What were some street weapons used in the1950's?
I can't find a good list of some of the street weapons used in the 1950's and I need a really good grade on the english report that this is for. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!

Zipguns were the king, as you needed a radio aeriel and some way to hammer the back of the bullet.

This was a pretty innocent period in the US but in major cities like NYC you had the Puerto Ricans and the whites fighting for turf-control of their neighborhoods. Zipguns looked like wooden guns with a rubber band and nail firing th bullet or whatever. Chains and baseball bats. Switchblades.
Lots of fighting but not a lot of deaths. More a macho thing.
Movies like Blackboard Jungle were popular and the Wild Bunch with Marlon Brando and motorcycle gangs.
Drugs were not used. Mostly alcohol.
