I'm all about honesty, so I just gonna let you know right now I am black and heterosexual.
Now, I am somewhat thankful for you raising this crucial question and epidemic within our country and am more than supportive of this protest...But from personal experience with both sides of the issue (meaning those for it and against it) there needs to be something different with your approach...See, the mood and overall atmosphere I feel from just reading statements and answers to this question are terrifying because it seems as though you are promoting hatred (though understandable).
You can rally, protest, and whatnot whenever you want and people with open-minds and unbiased opinions or beliefs from the "BIBLE" will most certainly support you. The problem is that if you all protest in violence or show a hint of obscenity during the Protests...not only will people not listen but it gives others the perfect opportunity and justified reason to unleash all hell upon you (even though it's unjust entirely). So, please let's all be careful and be tactful about this before this find some bogus reason to make it worst for you guys. We were promised HUMAN rights in America not HETEROsexual rights and I refuse to take pleasure in having rights that others have been fighting for decades, better yet, centuries to just have 1 of every other person's 1000 rights...But people do not respond well to anger, disgust, or any thing negative and I want to be sure that everyone is safe.
Last thing, you can't disregard someone for who they are and I don't know what it's like to be of another sexuality and the consequences that follow afterwards but I do know prejudice, discrimination, sexism, racism and they ALL need to Go! So please just be safe...
Best of Wishes!...^_~

I hope they acknowledge that Prop 8 passed with the help of the California BLACK AND HISPANIC community. To blame this loss on churches is to allow racial bigotry to flourish within the black and Hispanic community.
Just as the "N" word was nearly made extinct in polite society, the work place, and the media by exposure and ridicule, that is also what these two groups should expect from their own brand of hatred and discrimination towards us gays.
Remember, even 20% of McCain supporters voted against Prop 8, but these two groups, blacks and Hispanics, supported it. I don't buy that is is for some religious/moral reason either. A group that would support abortion, and the killing of babies, but not the marriage of two gay people in love just doesn't ring true to me. The BLACK AND HISPANIC community needs to have this long standing hatred [of the people who have supported them for decades in their struggle for equality] EXPOSED to the world for what it is.
ADDITIONAL: I'm PRO CHOICE also! Always have been, but I know, in real life exactly what that means. WHY CAN'T PEOPLE BE HONEST? Being PC to the point of enabling bigots won't help the movement for gay equality.

What do you think about the anti-gay funeral protests? I think the Westboro Baptist Church (Topeka, Kansas) is as wrong as sin. Freedom of speech has limits; Slander, defamation of character, and libel are legal limits on freedom of speech. As a matter of fact, the solders being protested were not gay, the church just used the the military funeral to grand stand it's anti-gay agenda.

Good, I wish our nation would finally see that we are not going to back down until we have the equal rights we deserve. Our constitution supports us in that we all should have equality, and the fact that we havent gotten to that point yet is pretty sad.
Seperation of church and state FTW!!!

The "person" above me is an idiot...um...did woman accept not being aloud to vote? No. Did blacks accept segregation, or slavery? No. Did Jews accept Naziism? No. It's called standing up for your rights. Of course, you wouldn't know...I bet you're biggest aspiration in life is becoming a cheerleader.
(LOL and if you read her profile...it is!)
