does anyone find this scenario creepy..?

Question

a kid is posting bulletins on his myspace, calling people, texting people, and practically begging people to go to cici's pizzza. he does not even know half of the people he is inviting, and he keeps begging me to go. no one wants to go and he is harrassing people about it now. he thinks since alot of people are going that you will be able to meet new people and blah blah blah, but i think its creepy. what should i tell him?

tell him the truth that's it's pretty creepy meeting new people in a weird place (i know cici's isn't weird but to meet new people there...). How does he know that a lot of people are going? i wouldn't go and i would also tell my friends not to go also cause that's creepy. and so much could happen

I think you just politely brief him on how his behavior could be deemed offensive by people and that you'd appreciate it if the messages from him stopped.

Beyond that, if the messages continue, you could then be a little more direct.  You could also inform the team at MySpace and allow them to deal with the problem as they see fit.

Confrontation just leads to unnecessary arguments; who needs that?

It is kinda creepy. Just say thanks but no thanks and then after that just walk away from it and ignore any further requests/begging to go.
