Ferry boats are more hazardous to your health. The crude smell and the water pollution you breath on your point of destination plus the risk of boat capsize are the worst scenario of all.
Whereas Manila buses, well, you can simply cover your nose so as not to inhale the pollution.
Have a nice day and GOD BLESS YOUR TRIPS!!!!!

Ferry boats.
"Manila Bus" is always a good one. Good for the health and a sight to behold for men.

Manila buses, hands down!!!
Not only can you die at any moment while the driver is swerving as if he has a death wish... you also have to endure stick-up gangs, the poor air quality in the streets (airconditioned buses not excluded) and the menace that is the bus food vendor.

Manila buses and all other drivers I am retired driving instructor in Canada Terrified for 2 weeks > ps don't tell my wife's family

Manila buses for 2 reasons:
1. The driving is like a roller coaster ride. You don't know if you will make it to your next stop.
2. The smoke emitted will either make you sick or very sick.

Those manila buses are really scary! The drivers don't care that much about other people's safety.

hazardous to my health? none. i'm not sea sick and i travel up north from Pasay every week in air-con bus.
to my life? i wouldn't ride a ferry during the stormy season and i like my chances of escaping an accident from a bus in Manila than driving a car.

Buses!! There was this recent newscast of "24 Oras" where 3 accidents were featured consecutively, one of them coming from EDSA. Watching that newscast made me cringe.
There was another accident in EDSA Cubao between a bus, a truck, and a car two days ago. Luckily, this one wasn't fatal.
