How do I say goodbye to a Best Friend?

I wouldn't make it Official, just drift apart. It will be easy since you wont see her once you move. I really think the reason you want to say something about it to her is so she will feel bad about how she acted and you can make up before you move. Which is what you should do. Don't leave on bad terms.

Sometime when a friend knows your leaving they will do things to distance themselves from you so it wont hurt so much. Maybe your both guilty of doing that.

i'm moving in a few weeks to start my semester FSU. i'm leaving the city to practically another state, but i know i'm going to lose a lot of friends. i'm already losing you because i can't stand your boyfriend. i know im mean and tell it how it is but at least im honest with you, but i catch you in these little lies and im over it. i don't go out of my way to talk to you. if we see each other i say hi or whatever. i'm sick of you asking other friend if i'm mad at you. basically we aren't best friends because i find out everything from other people about whats going on in your life. i also was told by you b/f that your mother called me a b****, fine, but my mother and i don't sit around discussing you. we actually have lifes!

She has broken your pact already, so I don't think you need to do anything special when saying good-by. If you move away and have little to do with her any more and she pesters you about it, THEN tell her why you aren't interested in continuing the friendship.

i know how you feel! thats kind of whats happening with me and another one of my friends. shes being a major ***** to me! maybe you dont even have to tell her directly that you dont wanna be friends with her. once you move you guys will start talking a lot less and im sure she'll find someone else to bug, lol. or if not, try not to make plans with her, and avoid seeing her. (if she asks you to hang out, say you have to babysit or work or your hanging out with your family), she'll get the message soon. its not right what shes doing, but at least soon you wont have to deal with it!

hello nessa, i believe you should be mature about it and just aproach her and tell her you would like to speak with herfor a few minutes, and be open with her. if she totally ignores you, then you know for a fact she was never worth it in the beginning. i have been there done that. i hope i helped =]

it sounds like it might be easier and more mature to just walk away and leave her alone. you guys arent in junior high anymore, there is no need to announce your desire to no longer be best friends.
