I like a hybrid board for skating pipes and ramps. A hybrid board has an old school nose, but with more of a street body, tail and concave. They are usually 8-9" wide.

For skating pools, give me a pool board any day.

I ride Santa Cruz, but look into Creature and any of the long-established skateboard brands. If you want to stay with the street shapes check out Bacon. They are wider, as most vert riders prefer a wider board.

Well acually all those are freestyle skate boards. Look up vert skateboards and it will tell you. the are mainly flat and heavier.
