why do you get defensive soo fast? is it because you have gotten soo used to people offending you that you think the person is trying to insult you even tho he is not?

Now, that's a very ignorant thing of you to say!
Never generalize. See my post to your other question, please!
Peace be upon you.
Sara: Those words are correct. (If that's why you posted them here). : )

Im not a defensive person unless I know Im being attacked. I mean a person is naturally defensive and some people show it more than others. Some people can control their anger and can put a hold on their feelings while others just wait for something small to happen to make it bigger.
Ive dealt with people who get ticked off by the smallest thing and make a huge deal out of it and they come in all races but Arabs are among them.
I dont think you were being offensive just people look for the smallest things to attack and claim they are defending them self.
My husband always said if someone gets defensive over something silly know that something bigger is going on.

Sorry, I am not an Arab but people under scrutiny often times do get defensive. It's a defense mechanism to protect the self and is not limited to Arabs; I see it in many types of people where I live (It's very multi-cultural/ethnically diverse in Jersey, NYC).

I don't feel like I am being insulting here, just honest. I mean, it's what I see and I think it's a natural human response for groups of people in general. People should just work on controlling it or channeling it into something productive or forward moving.
---
And I am not offended now either. Of course I did not look at other posts but I'm usually not so offended online anyway. I don't take Y/A too seriously.

i think everybody gets offended easily. i mean if someone insulted youre race, surely, you'd get offended, right?
"is it because you have gotten soo used to people offending you that you think the person is trying to insult you even tho he is not?"
now this comment boils my blood a little, i'd have to admit.
but, i wont take it to heart. you just generalized, big time. i

i've never been insulted about my race, except for on this site.
so, your whole question calapsed. why? because its not based on facts.

Hello there,
We dont get defensive fast, its that you think we do but we dont. We act like every other person. And plus every one looks at Arab people like there about to do something, so we stick up for what we believe is right. We are like every other human walking on this Plant.

I think it is stupid to point fingers at someone because of his/her origin. Most people do that too because they had bad experience or they read about those people and they think that all of them are like that. But that isn't fair to think like that.
