What is required to transport a horse into canada to its new owner.?
A lady wants to buy one of my horses,however she is in ontario ,Im in michigan ..what tests or forms are required for me to deliver this animal..I get conflicting answers online doing the research so want people that have done it to let me know how...I have the current EIC (coggins) and international health certificate,along with all ownership papers and bill of sale for the buyer,and registration certificate for the horse...what else do i need ? also what taxes and GST's apply..and can I cross at windsor ? is the vet on site there? thanks

not sure on what else you may need, but wanted to pass some info along.
Have you personally met this person. Reason I ask, when I was letting my thoroughbred go, I kept getting inquiries from Canada. come to find out, people from slaughter houses are buying horse in the US and shipping them to Canada
