What are some cool things to do in New York City that most people never think of?
I'm going to be in New York for Thanksgiving and was wondering if there was anything aside from the usual tourist stops that someone would recommend.
Maybe an interesting walking tour or a strange history kind of thing.

Does Kenny Kramer still do the Seinfeld tour? That was something I've always wanted to do but never got around to it.

walking through china town and buying bags is my favorite thing. Also going to the street wear John Lennon was shot can make for some good pictures. There is also a very nice church near ground 0. I think its St. Peters. Not sure though.

Take advantage the that Staten Island Ferry ride is FREE and take it from Lower Manhattan into Staten Island. You will really enjoy the view of the city's skyline during the ride. Do it at night... it's much prettier! :D

Visit boroughs other than Manhattan. Don't get me wrong, Manhattan is incredible, but there's more to New York too that people forget about.

We usually go to central park and see if there are celebrities. Sometimes we see sometimes we don't. Anyways, central park is big and you can do lots of things there.
