Gay marriage is legal in the countries of Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, South Africa, & Spain. Israel recognizes gay marriages performed in other countries. The US state governments of Massachusetts & Connecticut (& New York for same-sex marriages legally performed outside it's borders) recognize same-sex marriages although the US government does not. Norway will begin recognizing same-sex marriages in 2009.
Although not marriage, same-sex partnerships are recognized in Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Iceland, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, and by the US state governments of California, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington with partial recognition in Hawaii, Maine, & the District of Columbia.

The vast majority of the world accepts gay marriage. Unfortunately the U.S. is based on puritanical ideals, and thus is much further behind than the rest of the world. To list the countries would be a little long winded though.
