What causes my dog's foul, pungent odor?
Dog is 16 yr old; mostly she is blind and deaf. She won't eat or drink. The poor thing has an odor almost of a dead animal. She does not show signs of pain, and does not recoil from our touch.

The poor old girl. Sounds like she either is on her way out or has a bad case of tooth decay. Perhaps you should take her to a vet. I hope things get better for her.

She's just old and dieing.As far as the oder problem,get a spriiit bottle and fill it with 1/3 vinegar and the rest with tap water.Spray her lighly with it.It will kill the oder.

Could be something to do with the mouth. Teeth rot, just like they do in people.
