Why is TRL is getting kicked off air?

It was really good when Carson Daily hosted. Even though the room was smaller and plain, even though it was only one host...it was simple and still really good.

Plus around 1999-2000 is when pop music became huge and people were still buying CDs. For example, I remember when the backstreet boys came to TRL there were sooooo many fans all over the streets by the studio trying to get a glimpse of them. There had to be at least 5000 people. It got so crazy that they had to put blindes over the glass so that the fans couldnt see them. Its just not like that anymore, hardly anyone even stands outside the TRL building when celebrities come.

Also, videos were more elaborate back then, like Britney's OPPS I DID IT AGAIN video, and they would play the whole thing instead of 5 seconds of it.

But I guess MTV just doesnt play music anymore, which they should, so reality shows starting getting more attention than TRL :(

I've always found it boring, they play the music video in the middle of the song, and end it when it's no where near ending.

Plus, MTV is all about reality shows now lol.

Didn't even know it was still on the air!

Time for a change, hopefully for the better.
