The prompt for my APE is:
How might Fall of the House of Usher, or any of Poe's works, be read as an allegory of a journey into the human mind/spirit?
I know that the house is supposed to represent a disordered mind and that the fall of the house represents the end of a lineage, but I don't know what that has to do with a journey into the human mind/spirit.
Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated!!
