Is Magic Jack as good as they say?

I believe it is really easy to use ... Somebody also told me that I could bring it with me to, for example, England, and use it there? Is that true?

Update:

Thanks User, that's what I was looking for ... :)

Bringing it to another country will let the Magic Jack pay for itself in almost no time! That is how you can beat Ma Bell at her own game.

For a great primer on the Magic Jack, check out the below web site...

    http://www.magic-jack.info/

I think it really helps to preview the install process before you do it for real. It's not quite as simple as you may have seen in the infomercial.

For those who don't know if their pc or connection is ready for it, there's a link to a cool online test that will measure speed, jitter and packet loss. If you get all green lights, you should be good to go.

For those who already have a Magic jack, but are having a problem with it for some reason, there are lots of tips and suggestions to help them out. If somebody's pc has audio codecs that are screwed up there's a link to a free program (Sherlock) to help get that problem corrected.

For those who love their Magic Jack, but are annoyed with the way the Magic Jack screen pops up every time somebody calls their Magic Jack phone line, there are tips to fix that (magicBlock) too.

Why NOT give the 30 day free trial a shot? They will pay for your postage to send it back if you are not satisfied for any reason. If you have a quality pc, I would say give it a try.

    Good Luck!

Yes, the Magic Jack does work and it will work from any internet connected computer. It is not perfect though. There are some things that are lacking such as the ability to customize your voice mail message or even to turn it off. Overall for the price they are charging it is worth dealing with the flaws.

I use MagicJack but I also use Onesuite.com service.

MJ is my back up in any case Onesuite has a down time or something, though it rarely happens, its always good to have a back up service.

Now, any voip service will almost always work in any country so MJ will work in England. BUT MJ can not call international country so while in U.K., if you use MJ then you can not call another U.K. phone. You can only call US and Canada. Thats why my primary voip service is Onesuite because it can call any country and can be use also as a phone card from around the world.

Yes -- it really is as good as 'they' say. I have two, and love them!

I travel all over the orld for work and take my MJ with me. As long as I have high speed internet access, I can keep in touch with my friends back home in Canada/US. Also, I have one number that travels with me, so my friends don't have to try and figure out where the heck I am.

I also have Vonage, which I also love.
