We pick up our dog's poop, why don't mounted police pick up their horse's poop?
In Toronto, Canada, a dog owner must pick up its dog's poop when on public property. I completely agree with this. I have two dogs of my own and its my responsibility to clean up after them.
But my question is: Why don't Mounted Police have to pick up their horse's poo? They even make special "bags" that fit under a horse's tail to "catch" the poop, so the police wouldn't even have to dismount! I think its disgusting for tourists who are strolling around downtown Toronto, only to walk right into a huge pile of horse poo!
Yes, I was aware of the toxins and herbivore vs. carnivore poop, but the horses poo right on the sidewalks! Baby carriages don't always have the option of 'going around' it, and those that aren't lucky enough to be paying attention squish right on through it. It wouldn't be so bad or noticeable if it weren't the main downtown 'tourist' core of the city.

horse poo isn't toxic to plant life, it acts as fertilizer, dog poo is toxic to plants due to a diet containing meat products

i imagine that is a accountability, human beings might want to get exhilaration from a walk in a woodland and not using a canines, no longer relaxing to step in canines poop. no matter if that is outdoors your resources you should p.c.. it up. My outside is a woodland, and folk get exhilaration from it, any public get entry to should be respected.
