I have the same problem as Piperapper. My 2003 Honda Accord is also burning oil. What is my option?
Like Piperapper's 2003 Honda Accord, mine is also burning oil at a rate of 4L per 5000km. But if Honda's specs (as found out by Piperapper) is 1L per 1000km. What choices do I have ?

yea my Honda civic engine was burning oil and smoke was coming out of the hood when I drove it for a long time so I had a JDM engine swapped into mine with less km then what was on the original engine. Engine swap should be your last resort because my car was a 96 which is more then a decade old but your accord is only 2003 engine should still be good. Get a mechanic to check it out might be something little like a just leak in the tank or some electrical problems.

Your wheels and tires are part of your mileage problem(more drag)Your brakes are way overdue for an overhaul considering the above symptoms. You have a metal-on-metal condition going on,braking material worn completely off exposing the backing plate which is now dragging against and destroying the rotor.Only pimps and wanna-be's would put such goofy, ridiculous wheels on an Accord.Honda will install nothing bigger than a 17" for a reason. The suspension dynamics are past their design parameters, pulling and poor mileage result. The site below has name brand parts at great prices if you are a do-it-yourselfer.Otherwise plan on a $275 to $300 bill for front brakes.
