There were six missions that landed. Each had a 3-man crew. One ,man stayed in orbit and two men went down to the surface, while he did reconnaissance work for the following flight and landing.

    Apollo 11 Armstrong, Collins, Aldrin. Columbia. Eagle. 16 July 1969 13:32 GMT 08d 03h 18m 35s

First manned landing on the Moon, 20 July.

    Apollo 12 Conrad, Gordon,Bean. Yankee Clipper.Intrepid.14 November 196916:22 GMT10d 04h 36m 24s

First precise manned landing on the Moon. Recovered part of Surveyor 3 probe.

Apollo 13 Oxygen tank exploded en route, forcing cancellation of landing.

There was then soethng of a hiatus before the nzxt flight:

    Apollo 14 Shepard, Roosa, Mitchell. Kitty Hawk. Antares.31 January 197121:03 GMT09d 00h 01m 58s

Alan Shepard, the sole astronaut of the Mercury MR-3 mission - and thus the first American in space - walks (and plays golf) on the Moon.

    Apollo 15 Scott, Worden, Irwin.Endeavour.Falcon.26 July 197113:34 GMT12d 07h 11m 53s

First mission with the Lunar Rover vehicle

    .

    Apollo 16 Young,Mattingly, Duke. Casper. Orion16 April 197217:54 GMT11d 01h 51m 05s

First landing in the lunar highlands.

    Apollo 17 Cernan, Evans, Schmitt. America Challenger.7 December 1972 05:33 GMT12d 13h 51m 59s

Final Apollo lunar mission, first night launch, only mission with a professional geologist.

The second in each group of 3 names is the one who did not get to land on the moon's surface.

Of the 18 astronauts who went to the moon, most are in their mid-70s or older, and four have now died.

There were 6 moon landings, not 2 (where did you get the idea there were only 2 flights?)

I guess they don't teach history in school anymore.

Every lunar mission had 3 astronauts - one stayed in lunar orbit while the other two landed on the moon.

The missions and the lunar astronauts were:

Apollo 11 in 1969 - Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin

Apollo 12 in 1969 - Charles Conrad, Alan Bean

Apollo 14 in 1971 - Alan Shepard, Ed Mitchell

Apollo 15 in 1971 - David Scott, Jim Irwin

Apollo 16 in 1972 - John Young, Charles Duke

Apollo 17 in 1972 - Eugene Cernan, Harrison Schmidt

do we could consistently answer this damn question a week? of direction IT surpassed off do no longer you think of that, if the Yanks did no longer stroll on the moon, the Russians may well be ever so gleeful by using telling us they did no longer? They have not, so, inspite of all this stupid conspiracy nonsense, we actually could be confident in asserting: The Yanks did placed adult men on the moon.
