Ways to attemp suicide. (for a book)?

Most people slit their wrists when they commit suicide. That would be fast and easy. With pills you take the chance that you may not take enough to kill you. Hanging is painful and slow sometimes depending on how it's done. If you want a more violent suicide your could have them overdose on drugs. Try looking up newspaper clippings of suicides or other types of articles for other ideas.

Okay. Overdosing.

If the character has any health problem, or anyone close to the character does, and he can swipe pills from them, then that's thrilling.

Sleeping Pills would be good [I think, I mean, I don't watch enough E.R to know]

Hanging yourself, too [this might sound cold but I love the riddle where someone hung themselves, but all that was underneath was a puddle of water, how did they get up to hand themselves? And they were standing on a ice cube....sorry I just felt the need to add that].

Jumping off a building or a bridge - very dramatic, and inconvinient for traffic. So there's a lot of people watching, etc.

Dressing up as a 8-year-old boy and going over to Michael Jackson's... [sorry]

It could always be a assisted suicide. Or a murder, where his intent was to be killed [like, taking out a loan from the mob or something].

Um...yeah. I hope I don't seem suicidal with all these thoughts...and I hope I only gave YOU ideas, not anyone else.

And I really hope that this IS for a story, and not just a easy way to get ideas..............

How about driving straight into a shed or something? Wrist slitting, over dosing on pain killers, alcohol poison, drowning...there are many ways!
