In US, are organics allowed to be GM? ?

I'm wondering if some organic foods are genetically modified or are they guaranteed not to be?

    The USDA NOP prohibits GMO in all forms in organic agiculture and food processing. If it is certified organic it by law should not have any GMO's in it or fed to it.

    from my understanding, if it is organic, it is not genetically modified nor is it irradiated.
