What happens when you drive over sparking telephone wires?

Tornado emergency advice says never to drive over "hot wires" that have fallen onto the road. If they are still active, and you do drive over them, what would happen?

Telephone wires do not spark. Its the electrical wires that are dangerous.

Theoretically nothing will happen because your tires will not conduct electricity, but it is more complicated than that. What if the spark from the wire hits something flammable on the bottom of your car, or what if the tires cause the wires to get caught and wrap around the wheel and then the brakes dont work and then you spin into the ditch and spill your smoothie?

Just terrible. Or better yet do not drive over downed wires at all.

Again, telephone wires don't spark, electrical transmission lines do! Driving over those could result in electrocution.

First telephone wires wont spark because telephones are low voltage. you will probably short out your cars electrical system if you were to drive over high voltage wires

nothing would happen with telephone wires the electrical current is very very small. however if it was power cables your tires would just go over it for they are rubber
