When will vegitarians and vegans realize that it is increadibly unhealthy to eat that way ?

your body needs meat, for protein there are a few amino acids that plants just can provide in a high enough volume. Vegans don't give me the tofu or soy bean answer because that is also bad for you in high doses due to the proto-estrogens in it.

Update:

The answer of you are wrong is great, way to support your point. I eat an organic diet, and I respect peoples food choices, but animals were put on earth for people to eat.

    Im 95% vegetarian, not vegan. I tried vegan and I developed a Vitamin D deficiency that I will have forever. Have to take 1-2000 units of VD a day forever. I dont eat red meat though, no tofu (yuck!)...

    I realized it. I also drink Organic milk too now.

    You can get the amino acids and protein from supplements. I think it's rather ignorant to suggest that no vegetarian or vegan eats healthily. I myself love meat however. Also, there is a very effective argument to be made that says that eating meat is more unhealthy than living as a vegetarian.

    If they take vitamins, they can get all the nutrients they need from meats ect. I'm not vegan/vegetarian myself, but it's not like they're stupid. They just see things different then you, many of them do it out of respect for animals.

    your right there are things in meat that you can't get anywhere else. But you should try to be respectful of ppls personal chooses. the reason why most ppl decide to eat this way is bc of a selfless act of saving animals.

    By th way there are benefits to eating a vegetarian and vegan diet

    you can get as much meat as you want. Eat yogurt, cheese, milk and dairy products... Vegans are a little extreme, but I'm a vegetarian because I hate thinking that I'm eating something i love so much.

    yes, we have to have protein, but meat is not the only source. there are lots of plants that can provide enough protein to keep us healthy.

    there are other ways tointake minerals such as those and i don't have a clue why someone would be a vegetarian...do you want all those animals to just live on and do nothing they actually have a purpose when people eat them

    Probably around the same time couch potatoes realize an all fat and sugar diet is not very healthy.
