Fitness Question For Teen?
Hi!
I am 16 Years Old, 210lbs, overweight, but not by much, but my question is.....I wanna gain alot of muscle (convert fat to muscle) just by weight lifting, but my parents say i should to at least 30 minutes of cardio before i lift,
Would lifting weights and that's it work?

No, that would make you more BUFF! like a mannish butchy type feature..
Crunches and push-ups will help lose fat, and GAIN muscle.
Cardio is very important dealing with you have to lift weights, it gets you psyched up... Some people refer it as to getting "swole".
also stretches are important, to get better results

Lifting weights will only make you look bigger, but it'd be better to warm up your muscles with a little bit of cardio,, even though you may not like it. Also, stretch! You don't want to strain your muscles.. I don't think it's possible to convert fat to muscle, since fat is just flabby, whereas muscle is firm. I think your parents are right about cardio. A little cardio won't hurt, plus it's good for your heart.

I consider your exceptional however at the days you do not anything, i consider you will have to atlest excersise like pushups or situps. Im a competor in gymnastics. I get approximately 1hour and half-hour of coaching. and anhour of train. then on days i dont have gymnastics. i atleats run or excersises at residence. Im very athletic. SO atleast check out what I mentioned do on days wiuthout swimming.
