Can Any guitar work for any guitar hero games?

It depends on the guitar and game in question. (And the console) On the Xbox 360, the only guitar that works for Guitar Hero 2 is the guitar that comes with it (it is white). On Guitar Hero 3, you can use either the Guitar Hero 2 or 3 guitars. In Guitar Hero Aerosmith or Guitar Hero World Tour, you can use any of the 4 guitars. (GH 2, GH 3, GH Aerosmith, or GH World Tour guitar)

The guitar hero 2 guitars will work on guitar hero 3 because there is nothing different about the different shaped guitars.

That means the GH4 one can work in GH2

GH3 on GH4
