Will the bailout of the big three happen or will someone face bankruptcy?

This time on Thursday we should know whether or not the 35 billion that the big 3 are asking for goes through. I would help ford and gm but not chrysler as they are owned privately. What do you think should happen?

IMHO, We should not be in the business of bailing out corporate America including insurance companies., banks or any other corporation, with the exception of those heavily involved in National defense. Only Chrysler is in eminent danger of Bankruptcy. They could declare bankruptcy and protection under re-organization. This will allow them time to regroup and re-negotiate with the unions.

Unions are a major drain on the auto industry. Not all there fault, as the auto manufacturer's have also allowed this to happen.

Unfortunately, the democratic congress is in the pockets of the UAW, and must keep them happy. As such you will see a bailout after January 20th, but not before.

Nothing! As the executives for the big 3 cannot guarantee that no jobs would be lost and have had plenty of time to restructure and push out more environmental cars. They drug their feet and should just be happy with the 25 billion that had already been budgeted to them for environmental efficiency cars. They can use that money to get them out of the red. If not then let them go into bankruptcy and learn a lesson, because the workers will be left with nothing as they have lost their 401k's and everything else just to keep the big 3 afloat.

You tell me how many of their exec's are not going to make their next mortgage payment or buy their children food.

They will take their corporate payouts and go to a spa.

Toyota and Honda will have to pick up the employees of the big cheats and hopefully stay solvent themselves.

Do not forget that you have many more industries with their hands out waiting inline behind the big 3. That is what its boiling down to Corporate welfare.

If the government bails them out then it's creating unfair trade practises.

It's time they got in tune with the times.

We're in an era that the gas guzzlers have to go and we start running more ecologically and environmentally forms of transportation.

They have to keep up or get left behind.

bailout or no bailout, no one want to buy that high priced trash they build over there. The company will fail anyway.

they all need to be helped and chrysler also bailed themselves out once when they borrowed from the tax payers and paid it back so they should not be left out they should stipulate that they have to pay back and i think it would be stupid to let them go downt he drain it will kill us the american people to not help themt hey are back bone of our economy.
