iPod nano 3rd gen... on off button?

there is no "real" on/off switch you turn it off by pressing and holding the pause button.

But to prevent it from turning on accidently in your purse once you turn it off just slide the hold button on and that prevent the ipod from randomly turning on in your purse

There's no on/off switch, you just press the play/pause button until it turns off or on, and don´t worry about having it in the pocket because it has a hold side bar that doesn't let your iPod turn on, only if you slide it, so it won't spend any battery. I use mine in my back pack always with hold and it has never turned on by itself!!

no it doesnt have an on off switch.

its just like most the ipods that have the wheel:

you hold down the play/pause button for a few seconds and it turns off.

you just hold the play/ pause button for a few seconds. or pause your music and let it cut off itself it saves battery life

hold down the 'play/pause' button

hold down the play button to turn on or off...

IF YOURE WORRIED ABOUT ACCIDENTS... ONCE YOU HAVE TURNED IT OFF TOGGLE THE HOLD BUTTON SO KEYS DO NOWT
