Is there any way to fix this grinding?

I have a 2002 acura rsx but i have a 2006 transmission. When i shift into 3rd gear, there is a slight grind. i looked online and found that there is a faulty 3rd gear synchronizer in these transmissions. is there any possible way to fix this problem without getting a new one?

Yes, by rebuilding the trans. You can learn how to do it your self ( manuakls are not as hard as autos) or take it to a shop.

yes but the transmission will have to come out and you are looking at 400.00 to.700.00 dollars.i would just live with it allso if you shift slower from 2nd to 3rd it wont do it so bad

get a new syncro, drop the tranny, put it in, rebuild it while your in there, and put it all back together, or just live with it and start double clutching to preserve whats left of it
