OK, so I guess I'm old...is the right term hip pop or hip hop...seen it both ways...are they interchangeable?

hip pop is what i call mainstream rap that has more appeal than meaning(i.e. Lil' Wayne) his music is tight and appealing to fans but it isn't the deepest most meaningful rap music
