How long will it take for me to get through US customs?
For those of you who have had to go through US customs after taking an international flight, about how long will it take to get through it? My flight will be landing in LAX at around 10am, and I have to claim my bags and check them in again for my next flight at 12:45pm--Should I be worrying about making my next flight? I'm only asking because it took me about 2 hours to get through Australian customs!

2:45 hours should be plenty of time at that time of day. earlier or later you may be S.O.L. if you flight isn't on time, or if you have to change airlines. Best advice is to pay attention, try to not have anything to declare, and have as little baggage to drag around. Most of the hang up is waiting for the bags to come out then get to the counter.
If all airports did customs like Shannon, Ireland, the world would be a better place!

WOW...you never can tell...........it should be OK but sometimes it takes a longer time...Just say a prayer and check on the next flight out if you miss yours.
