how many badges are there per category?

Update:

Mine was taken away and I did a search in questions and "they" said that someone "else" had gotten contributed more than me, that badges were "active". So I wonder, how many are there?

Alas, some real numbers to post on my wall and look at! Thanks.

I did jump catagories once or twice. I guess that had something to do with my demise! thanks!

    There is no limit to how many people can have badges in each category. You have to have 10 % best answers at least.. You have to answer 20 questions and get BA in a 2 week period to get a TC badge.. If you go under that.. then you lose it.

    Badges come and go, it depends somewhat on how much you participate and how little you are reported.

    I have had the TC badge 2 or 3 times, it comes and it goes. Don't sweat it, they are really not important, mean little, and you have no control over it unless you want to live on YA.

    Im not after badges, Only helping others, but i think they disappear if you don't stay in one category, im not positive tho

    There is no limit.

    Yahoo can give them out to all that deserve :)
