So now that fuel is back to a reasonable level have you checked your bills for fuel surcharges?

With fuel costs returning to somewhat pre-flare up levels, we should all be seeing the fuel surcharges disappearing from our bills and invoices.

Funny thing of it is I haven't seen those disappear. Hmmmm - maybe the delivery and trucking companies need a wake up call. Or did they get used to the extra revenue? I think that we will all need a fuel surcharge bail-out. Start signing up now.

I know what you're talking about. I was thinking the same thing... With gas prices approaching $2/gallon, I thought they'd be disappearing. Then, I checked the diesel prices. Here's they're still over $3/gallon, and since most trucking companies use diesel and not unleaded, the prices are still a little high compared to the historical average. But, they're not as high as the $4-$5/gallon they were this summer. One vendor put a schedule of surcharge based on average diesel prices for the month, with the surcharge increasing or decreasing based on the price. But, that's just one vendor.

    Just my observation.
