I have a 1997 Ford Escort. A few problems with it right now.?

Question

One is...that I smell gas every once in a while sometimes when im driving when i have the window down. And sometimes when I'm getting out of my car after a drive. Can't find any gas leaks... So idk.
Another thing...My car wouldnt start this morning, no i didnt leave any lights on overnight, when i put the key int he ignition and turn the key..nothing happens, no power, no noise...Nothing. I'm about to get taken over to buy a new battery (hopefully its nothing more than just an old dead battery thats the problem)
Another thing...my coolant thing cosntantly has to be refilled...like maybe i have a leak in the thing or somethin?

charge your battery,,don't touch any switch on the car,

while waiting buy a donut,pizza and a seven up,,

after the battery is charge ,check around car and  inside for any light that's on ,if found nothing ,have your alternator check ,charging  rate and for battery drain.

have the fuel lines check by a tech..

pressure check your cooling system ,sometimes you cant see a small leak they only come out when pressurize

1. Gas smell. Check the fuel cap and seal. Check the evaporative control canniste which on thet car is located under the whell well on the driver's side I believe.
2. No start. Hopefully the battery.
3. Coolant leak, have the system pressure tested. Could be a leaking head gasket.
