Do you hold the door open?

i hold the door open and usually people say thank you. i don't think too much of it when they don't, though.

i hate it when you can't decide to hold the door open or not 'cos the person is kind of far behind you. then you're standing there for a minute like a dork =P

I'll hold the door open. I don't think it's rude when people don't say thank you but appreciate when they do. I find it rude when I'm opening a door to let the person that I'm with in or out and someone else shoves their way through first.

I hold the door open for girls and old people. Guys are guys. Lol. If I'm in a bad mood, which is rare, I wont hold the door open.

Always hold the door open

If someone is maybe 10 feet behind me, and headed towards the door too, then yeah, I hold it open, more than that though, and I let it shut.

I hold it open for everyone, I find its just a moral I have of human dignity, sure on a small scale but it matters. I don't expect anything out of it, I just do it because I feel it's right, even though I almost always receive a thank you, and I always say thank you to someone who holds it open for me.

Always! In fact, today at the mall i held open the door for an elderly disabled woman who was by herself...i'd hate to think about being that old and no one helping me out a lil.

Yeah i hold the door open, its common courtesy.

hmm.. i usually hold it open. I feel bad, cuz if i'm on a date, i forget to let the guy go first.. and then it's this awkward shuffle of trying to get through the door...ya, i should probably work on that.
