Who should BOSTON tour with in 2009 ?
BOSTON just finished their 2008 tour with STYX, along with new bandmates Michael Sweet (Stryper) & Tommy DeCarlo (Fan turned singer). Though Brad Delp was sadly missing, fans responded well.
Who would you like BOSTON to tour with in 2009 ?
Serious answer only - Thanks !

That's a tough one...Let me preface this by saying I'm a giant Boston fan. I saw them on this last tour with Styx and was really let down. The only person on stage that had any personality was Michael Sweet. The music sounded good enough, but the people were leaving in droves about three songs in. Part of the problem was a good portion of the first half of the show songs were off of "Corporate America". I can understand wanting to expose your newer material to an audience that isn't as familiar with it, but if done to an excessive point, you risk losing people's interest. It was, in my opinion, clear to see that people were wanting to hear the hits. With all of that being said, something needs to change, if they want to continue to draw numbers doing the summer tours. Either focus more on the classic material, or do something else with the stage show, have a bit of life on stage. I in no way am intending this to be a pot shot at a truly great band, just a concern for future tours, if they resemble the '08 presentation.....With all of that being said, any of the AOR bands of the late 70's/80's would be good. REO Speedwagon, Styx again, Kansas. If they could get on a tour with Journey, it would be a great thing for Boston. The numbers the Journey tour continues to draw or spectacular.

Does Kansas still tour?
Because a Boston/Kansas tour would be freaking sweet.

Serious answer...
BOSTON should not tour without Brad Delp
STYX should not tour without Dennis De Young
JOURNEY should not tour without Steve Perry
Brad Delp's loss is tragic... but these bands are bordering on the pathetic. Once the sold out arenas, not they are lucky to sell out state fair's. Form new projects, call yourselves something else. It is sad.
