I've just started a blog on Blogger but it's not found in any searches. What do I do?
I'm new to all this. I've set it up and I can post to it but - whenever I give anyone the address - the blog search says no results found. And the help centre seems to have no option to actually send a mail to anyone within Google- just lots of tick boxes of problems which don't actually lead me to any proper advice! (I've "pinged" it too - whatever that means - but it still not in search results? Any ideas? I'm over forty so please feel free to talk to me like a techno idiot!)

Type in the full blog URL to check whether your blog was indexed. If not, then submit your URL to google search (http://www.google.com/addurl). Your blog will get indexed within 1 month
Note: My website was indexed within 1 day

You'll need to click a box that allows your site to be search, it's in settings.
About 24 hours for Google to get it. Also try using the "apostrophes" to search for specific terms you typed like "A Blue Indian Monkey".
More posts you make, the higher your ranking. Also try to type what you want people to search for into your titles and post titles.

After setting up your blog, you need to submit it to blog directories, just Google blog directories and submit your link to them. They are about over a million of them.
Submit your blog to search engines.
Try linking your blog to high traffic sites and blogs
Participate in forum discussions regarding your blog posts and linking with them.
Try to check your publish settings tab.
The more high traffic sites and blogs that link to your blog the more your Google rankings increase and it will be easier to be found.
